The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Revit Technician / BIM Coordinator to support and assist the engineering teams in the timely and accurate production and management of drawings and building models. This is a senior role within the Technician team, and you will also support and supervise other Technicians and oversee BIM Coordination on projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and coordinating the production of our engineering teams' Revit Models and drawings.
  • Assisting Engineers with the detailing of projects, working up details to suit the structural design.
  • Assisting the Team with setting time and budget constraints.
  • Liaising with the Architect and other consultants as appropriate.
  • Assisting in the development of BIM in conjunction with the Senior Management Team.
  • Attendance at site and Design Team Meetings.
  • Individual model creation and drawing production.

As BIM Coordinator, you will also do the following:

  • Support the Head of BIM with BIM coordination and management.
  • Engage with clients and project managers regarding BIM.
  • Establish project BIM requirements in line with ISO19650.
  • Produce project BIM Execution Plans and Model Production Delivery Tables.
  • Set up Autodesk Collaboration Cloud as the project Common Data Environment.
  • Utilise Revit and Navisworks to run clash detection and produce reports outlining both geometrical and data-related issues.
  • Chair and facilitate sessions with the Project Team to review any model issues and drive resolution.
  • Contribute towards the creation of walk/fly through videos.

About You

You’ll have significant experience in Revit and building structures. Ideally, you’ll have worked on refurbishments and new builds. You’ll also have:

  • 5-10 years of experience working as a Revit Technician.
  • A strong team-centred approach, and excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and oral.
  • Personal time management and organisation to ensure deadlines are met.
  • A thorough and meticulous approach, taking pride in the accuracy and quality of work produced.
  • A desire to learn more and progress within the industry.
  • The ability and experience to supervise and support junior staff.
  • A good academic history including a related qualification.
  • Experience in Navisworks, BIM Collab and Autodesk Collaboration Cloud is ideal.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
