The Role
We are looking for an Associate Civil Engineer who has experience in building drainage to join our growing Development Infrastructure team in either our London Fitzrovia or Wimbledon offices. You will have 10+ years’ experience delivering roads, drainage, earthworks and utilities infrastructure projects (with at least 1–2 years in the UK) and be confident running projects independently from concept through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Partners to define the Civils’ division growth strategy.
- Direct, manage and develop the Civil Engineering team and Technician support beyond a supporting service to structural projects.
- Responsible for overall financial and technical delivery of Civil Engineering within EWP.
- Responsible for developing business and delivering growth of the Civils team.
- Ensure maintenance of appropriate controls and quality checks, including regular reporting.
- Liaise with Architects, Clients and other professionals whilst carrying out duties and represent the Practice in a professional and courteous way.
- Responsible for supporting high standards and general education within EWP regarding Civils technical issues, including presenting occasional internal seminars to the Practice on either projects, technical issues or updates.
- Underground drainage design for projects ranging from ‘one off’ domestic houses with pumped basement drainage through to large residential and mixed use sites.
- Pre‑planning application, drainage strategy and infrastructure advice.
- Storm & foul water attenuation design.
- SUDS techniques and implementation.
- Able to use Micro drainage.
