Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Performance Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies for enterprise applications.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with performance testing tools, application performance monitoring (APM) platforms, and performance analysis across application, database, and infrastructure layers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive performance test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios based on system architecture, business requirements, and expected workload.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, Load Runner, Neo Load, or Gatling.
  • Conduct different types of performance testing, including: Load Testing Stress Testing Endurance/Soak Testing Spike Testing Capacity and Scalability Testing Simulate realistic user workloads and transaction volumes to evaluate application performance under varying load conditions.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure performance using APM and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, App Dynamics, and New Relic.

Correlate application, API, database, infrastructure, and system-level metrics with performance test results.

  • Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across application layers, including: User Interface (UI) APIs and Microservices Databases Application Servers Network and Infrastructure Components Collaborate with development, architecture, Dev Ops, database, and infrastructure teams to investigate performance issues and implement optimization solutions.
  • Create, manage, and maintain performance test environments and test data to support realistic testing scenarios.
  • Analyze response times, throughput, resource utilization, error rates, concurrency, and other key performance indicators.
  • Prepare detailed performance test reports, dashboards, findings, and recommendations for technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Support performance tuning, scalability assessments, and capacity planning activities.
  • Participate in performance requirement reviews and provide recommendations during the application design and development lifecycle.
  • Ensure performance testing processes, scripts, test results, and documentation are maintained according to established quality standards and best practices.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in performance testing, performance engineering, or application performance analysis.
  • Strong hands-on experience with one or more performance testing tools: Apache JMeter Load Runner Neo Load Gatling Experience designing and executing load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability tests.
  • Hands-on experience with APM and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, App Dynamics, New Relic, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, databases, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience analyzing performance metrics and identifying bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring metrics, including response time, throughput, latency, CPU utilization, memory utilization, error rate, and resource consumption.
  • Experience managing performance test data and test environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
