Devops Engineer in Penarth

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps / Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and drive DevOps excellence.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud platforms, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Databricks, along with the ability to lead architecture decisions and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS (or Azure/GCP)
• Architect and provision Databricks workspaces for data and analytics workloads
• Ensure best practices in security, performance, and cost optimisation
• Provide technical leadership in cloud architecture and infrastructure design, CI/CD & Automation
• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, deployment, and release management
• Optimise build and deployment workflows for reliability and efficiency
• Integrate security scanning and quality gates into pipelines (IaC)
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or similar tools
• Implement automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Ensure consistency across dev, staging, and production environments
• Drive DevOps culture and best practices across teams, implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Lead automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, collaborate with development teams to enhance deployment processes
