We are looking for an Application Test Engineer to design, execute, and lead performance testing initiatives for enterprise-scale applications. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, developers, and stakeholders to ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance meet business expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement performance testing strategies, plans, and scripts aligned with project requirements.
- Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and business stakeholders to identify performance requirements, SLAs, and KPIs.
- Lead performance, load, stress, and endurance testing activities across applications and platforms.
- Analyse test results to identify performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and system constraints.
- Prepare and present detailed performance test reports, findings, and optimisation recommendations to technical and business teams.
- Manage performance testing tools, test environments, test data, and execution schedules.
- Support performance tuning efforts across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Mentor junior testers and coordinate with regional or global QA teams to ensure testing standards and best practices are followed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven hands-on experience in performance testing and performance engineering.
- Strong expertise in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, or Gatling.
- Proficiency in scripting and test development using languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of system architecture, application performance tuning, monitoring concepts.
- Experience working with performance metrics, monitoring tools, and log analysis.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
