The Company: Our client is a well-established leading provider of a range of dry walling and structural products and services within the construction sector. They sell into a range of clients including contractors and fabricators, operating across the UK. As a result of continued, and anticipated future growth, they are looking to bring on board an Estimating Manager to take the lead on the growth of their Scotland arm of the business.
The Role: The Estimating Manager will be responsible for managing a small team alongside maintaining long-standing and building new client relationships. It will prepare and provide estimates to clients and ensure that projects are delivered in line with the organisation’s high-quality standards. You will be responsible for the overall commercial success of the projects and ensure continued improvement across the whole region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all estimates are delivered and managed in line with project requirements
- Develop and execute the strategy for the region
- Play a part in all contract negotiations and attend all customer meetings
- Get involved in the continuous improvement and site operations under your control
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience running projects and engaging with clients
- NEBOSH qualified
- Experience working within a construction environment
- Track record of providing estimates, negotiating contracts, and managing budgets
You are likely to have prior experience working as a Projects Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Estimator, Contracts Manager, Operations Manager, Business Development Manager, Divisional Manager, Business Unit Manager, or similar role within the construction industry.
