Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Executive to join their Procurement and Bid Writing team.
About Us: Our client is a fast-growing Procurement and Bid Management Firm, looking to help UK businesses access funding for new commercial projects. Currently, they are going through a major stage in their growth strategy, meaning this is an exciting time to be joining the business.
The Role: Our client is seeking a consultative sales professional for a desk-based role to identify, assess and qualify prospective suppliers. As a Sales Negotiator, you will be focused on identifying prospects and matching their relevance and needs to the marketplace plus achieving sales through developing relationships with global market industry leaders. You will also be involved in strategic planning of sales cycles and projects, whilst managing your own development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain your own prospect pipeline
- Validating appointments that have been created by the Sales Executive
- Working closely with your team by offering feedback on appointments that they created on your behalf
- Attending appointments with prospective customers that have been set up by the Sales Executives
- Answering any further questions that the customer may have
- Sending out contracts to prospective customers
- Supporting the management team who negotiate with specific companies to provide services to help those companies achieve contract awards
- Lead in identifying new opportunities both in the UK & abroad
- If you choose to work remotely, the occasional office visit would be expected, at least once or twice per month
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in closing sales deals from start to finish
- Skilled in objection handling, questioning techniques and negotiating is essential
- Strong knowledge of computers, internet research and using Microsoft Office and sales CRM software
- Ideally, you would have experience selling high-value products or services to C-Suite Executives
- Commercial awareness for work with corporate clients – an understanding of questioning techniques and active listening skills
- Able to work to target and set KPIs
- Demonstrate a full grasp of your accurate forecast at all times
- Please know extra hours may be required due to the nature of the role
