Finance Director - The Role: Reporting to both the UK CEO and Group Finance leadership, the Finance Director will lead all financial activities across the UK business. As a key member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic financial guidance, support commercial decision-making, and ensure the delivery of accurate financial reporting. The role combines strategic influence with operational leadership, requiring a proactive individual who can drive performance, improve processes, and support long-term business growth.
Finance Director - Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all financial activities for the UK business
- Partner with the UK CEO to support strategic planning and business performance
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning processes
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting to Group Finance and senior stakeholders
- Provide financial analysis to support project performance and commercial decision-making
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance and governance standards are maintained
- Lead, develop and mentor the finance team
- Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, processes and reporting
Finance Director - You:
- Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Proven experience in a Finance Director or senior finance leadership position
- Experience operating within a group structure and managing group reporting requirements
- Strong background within a project-based, contract-led, engineering, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing or similar environment
- Commercially focused with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
- Experience partnering with CEOs and executive leadership teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams
