Our client is looking for a Fractional Financial Controller to join the team.

Location: Heathrow Airport

Salary: Competitive Day Rate

Job Type: Fractional Contract, Approximately 2 Days Per Month

Duration: Initial 6-Month Engagement

The business is now seeking an experienced Fractional Financial Controller to provide both operational finance support and strategic guidance during this transition period.

Fractional Financial Controller – The Role: This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to work closely with senior leadership in a hands-on and advisory capacity. The role will involve supporting the monthly management accounts process whilst also leading recommendations and improvements around finance systems, reporting capability, and operational efficiencies. This position offers the chance to make a genuine impact within a growing SME environment.

Fractional Financial Controller – Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation and review of monthly management accounts
  • Improve finance reporting accuracy and efficiency
  • Assess current accounting systems and finance processes
  • Recommend and support implementation of a suitable accounting platform
  • Enhance reporting and analytical capabilities for management
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and commercial reporting where required

Fractional Financial Controller – You:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience operating as a Financial Controller or senior finance consultant
  • Strong SME finance background, ideally within logistics, freight, distribution, or operational businesses
  • Experience delivering finance transformation and systems implementation projects
  • Commercially astute with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating autonomously within a part-time/fractional role
  • Ability to quickly assess business needs and implement effective solutions
