Executive Headteacher – The Role:

In this pivotal role, you will champion outstanding teaching and learning across multiple settings, ensuring pupils consistently achieve their full potential. You will cultivate high-performing, collaborative teams and nurture a culture where innovation and professional growth are encouraged. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, you will also shape trust-wide initiatives and strengthen the strategic direction of the organisation.

Executive Headteacher – Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership across the trust, establishing clear direction, priorities, and measurable goals.
  • Lead and monitor school improvement strategies, ensuring compliance with Ofsted, DfE, and statutory safeguarding expectations.
  • Build strong, productive relationships with Headteachers, staff, governors, parents, and external partners to promote excellence and shared learning.
  • Act as a representative of the trust at regional and national forums, contributing to audits, networks, and collaborative improvement programmes.

Executive Headteacher – You:

  • Significant experience as a Headteacher or Executive Headteacher with a track record of delivering sustained school improvement.
  • Experience working within a Multi-Academy Trust structure.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and NPQH (or working towards/equivalent qualification).
  • Experience of leading or working within a SEN environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Ofsted framework and its practical application.
