As the organisation continues to evolve, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to play a key strategic role and help drive ongoing improvement at their largest primary school.
Assistant Headteacher - The Role: You will provide strong phase leadership, ensuring consistent implementation of agreed policies, practices, and expectations. You will take responsibility for driving high-quality teaching and learning across core subjects, embedding effective assessment and pedagogical approaches. A key part of the role is leading staff to deliver excellent pastoral care, safeguarding, and behaviour standards. Through your leadership, you will support sustained improvements in pupil attainment and progress across the phase.
Assistant Headteacher - Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of School and Deputy Head in leading a broad, balanced curriculum
- Monitor and evaluate curriculum planning and delivery using assessment data to effectively challenge practice and ensure strong pupil progress
- Contribute to strategic school improvement through development planning and the successful delivery of whole-school initiatives and change
- Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning that meets the needs of all pupils, maintaining high expectations for behaviour, attitudes and learning environments
Assistant Headteacher - You:
- Significant experience working within a primary school setting with a strong understanding of effective classroom practice
- Proven experience in a senior or middle leadership role
- Experience of working within a multi-academy trust environment
- Evidence of ongoing professional development related to school leadership, management and curriculum design
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
