Ellington Public Schools is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Part-Time Cafeteria/Playground Aide to join the team at Windermere Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.
If you enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact on students' school day, we'd love to hear from you! This position plays an important role in helping to provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment during lunch and recess.
Position Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Supervise students during lunch and recess.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
- Communicate concerns to school staff and administrators when appropriate.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
- Successful completion of a state and national criminal history background check is required.
- A Department of Children and Families (DCF) records check will be completed in accordance with Connecticut state statute.
Working Conditions
- 15 hours per week
- Monday-Friday
- School-year position (2026-2027)
- Hourly Rate: $17.43
- This is an at-will position.
