Ellington Public Schools is seeking applications for a full-time 12-month Administrative Assistant at Windermere School for the start of the 2026-27 school year.
Job Summary
The applicant chosen will be one of two full-time and two part-time administrative assistants in the main office of a 650+ student elementary school.
Qualifications
- Good interpersonal/communication skills, contribute to a positive work environment, and be able to effectively communicate with parents, staff, and the general public.
- Excellent office and computer skills, be able to create publications, have bookkeeping experience, and be proficient in Google Suite.
- Expected to develop proficiency using our Infinite Campus PSIS web platform.
- Good organizational skills, share workload as needed, be able to multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Confidentiality is critical.
- Previous work in a school atmosphere is a plus.
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be required to submit a state and national criminal history check, as well as DCF review as required by Connecticut state statute.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, 12-month position. The position is 40 hours/week. Starting salary is consistent with the EESS contract. This is a contracted position and includes benefits.
