Job Title: Project Manager with NEC experience
Location: London (Office with some remote working available)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 DOE
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious Project Manager with 5-8 years of experience and a keen interest in delivering innovative advisory and consultancy projects. You will manage projects within our Infrastructure Performance Consultancy (IPC) team, providing engineering-led strategic advice to leading infrastructure clients. Your responsibilities include managing consultancy commissions under NEC3/4 PSC contracts and achieving the objectives set by the Project Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise the Project Director and GCM on contract strategy during project conception to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop and oversee the success criteria for projects.
- Ensure detailed project planning in collaboration with the Project Director.
- Advise on procurement and management of sub-consultants, including drafting agreements.
- Establish effective governance, processes, and systems for project management.
- Manage change control processes.
- Monitor project finances, including invoicing and financial reporting.
Produce regular reports, manage project information transfer, and work efficiently in a fast-paced, agile environment. Participate in cross-trust activities, including B Corp initiatives.

Expedition IPC helps infrastructure and construction clients improve their capital programmes and asset portfolios through innovative, efficiency-driven strategies, delivering significant value for clients such as TfL, HS2, Network Rail, and others.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Expertise
- Degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience with NEC contracts, especially NEC3/4 PSC
- Experience managing NEC4 contracts for small to medium consultancy projects
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of infrastructure sector contracts and commercial considerations
- Experience managing contractual and commercial risks in consultancy/advisory contexts
- Passion for infrastructure development in the UK and beyond
Desirable Qualifications
- Chartered Civil Engineer, NEC Project Manager, PRINCE2, or APM qualification
- Experience in infrastructure project management focusing on client advisory and innovation
- Technologically adept with tools like PowerBI, AI, etc.
- Knowledge of contract law and technical areas of civil engineering asset management, design, or construction
