We are looking for an experienced and professional Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our team based out of our Scunthorpe depot. As a key part of our waste recovery operations, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of waste materials from our Scunthorpe site to a local EFW facility.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards. While previous experience operating walking floor trailers is preferred, full training will be provided to successful applicants.
In addition, you will have responsibility for:
- Driving a Class 1 HGV vehicle in compliance with WTD and Drivers Hours Regulations
- Collecting waste from a variety of container types, including trade waste, skips, and roll-on-roll-off bins
- Completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate driving records
- Ensuring the safe handling and secure transport of waste materials
- Adhering to Health and Safety standards at all times
- Using your available legal working/driving time to maximise productivity
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Tramping
Pay: Competitive hourly rate
Schedule: Tramping Monday to Friday, Overtime expected.
Experience: HGV Class 1 driving: 1 year (preferred), Experience in the waste management industry (preferred but not essential), Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Licence/Certification: Valid UK Class 1 driving licence – required, Valid Driver CPC qualification – required, Digital tachograph card – required.
