The Role: Ellea Nursing is seeking a Private Live‑In Carer / Healthcare Assistant to deliver dedicated, round‑the‑clock support that enables clients to enjoy meaningful time at home. Working on a rotational live‑in basis, you will provide personal care, daily living support, companionship and wellbeing assistance, while collaborating closely with a registered nurse who oversees all clinical care. Your focus is to deliver a warm, person‑centred and exceptional experience every day. This role suits a compassionate, experienced carer who values professionalism, discretion and building trusted relationships within a private home setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in the client’s home, promoting dignity, independence and an excellent quality of life.
  • Provide all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting and continence, while ensuring safe mobility, transfers and positioning using appropriate equipment.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals aligned to the client’s dietary, cultural and personal preferences, and support light household tasks such as laundry, tidying, shopping and maintaining a comfortable home.
  • Offer meaningful companionship, engaging clients in conversation, hobbies, activities, social interaction and outings to support emotional wellbeing.
  • Accompany clients for appointments, social events and care‑assisted travel, both within the UK and abroad, always ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Monitor and report changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition, follow the personalised care plan accurately, and maintain clear daily records and handover notes.
  • Build a strong, trusting rapport with clients and their families while upholding Ellea Nursing’s values and 5‑star service standards.

At least 12 months’ care experience in home care, residential or hospital settings, with proven ability to deliver safe, person‑centred support in line with CQC standards and safeguarding principles. Skilled in personal care, medication support and daily living assistance, with the confidence to work independently in a client’s home while following a structured care plan. Warm, professional communication style with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and families. Fully compliant to work, including an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and Right to Work in the UK. Flexible and reliable, able to work live‑in rotational patterns and travel with clients when required. Full UK driving licence.
