You’ll work under supportive supervision, building your skills step-by-step while contributing to a high-quality service for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare client accounts based on information supplied by client
  • Responsible for the preparation of VAT returns including communication with clients to collate records
  • Attend client meetings with relevant manager or partner
  • Ad hoc reports as required
  • Prepare time budget for tasks, assisted by seniors
  • Liaising with clients by telephone
  • Drafting letters and other correspondence as required
  • Monitor own job quality and quantity in line with agreed budgets and standards
  • Support the team with the production of their work
  • Record own chargeable time with the aim to improve recovery as experience gained
  • Attend training and achieve success in your given qualification, observing the guidelines laid out in your training agreement
  • Utilising the support and guidance offered by the firm
  • Attend courses that are appropriate to job role
  • Achieve examination success
  • Preparation of simple tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and corporation tax returns
  • Potentially required to attend client sites to carry out audit work, outsourced accounts or ad hoc project work
  • Assist with administration tasks as necessary to support the team
