We are looking for experienced Warehouse Operatives to join our distribution centre based in Stone, Staffordshire.

Working hours: 40 hours per week. Permanent contract with a 3‑month probationary period. Shifts are Monday to Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm / 10:00 am – 6:30 pm rotating on a weekly basis (includes a 30‑minute unpaid meal break).

To support the efficient operation of the warehouse by ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The role involves maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organisation while contributing to a positive team environment.

MHE Requirement

Carry out safe and efficient movement of goods using a range of material handling equipment (MHE), ensuring high standards of accuracy, safety, and productivity at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving & Dispatching Goods: Unload deliveries and check for accuracy against delivery notes. Prepare and pack orders for dispatch according to company standards.
  • Stock Management: Accurately record stock movements using warehouse systems. Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory audits.
  • Warehouse Organisation: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Ensure goods are stored securely and in the correct locations.
  • Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety procedures and report hazards. Operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., pallet trucks, forklifts if certified).
  • Teamwork & Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments. Communicate effectively to resolve issues and improve processes.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred but not essential).
  • Basic IT skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and move goods safely.
Qualifications
  • Forklift/MHE licence.
  • Manual handling training (can be provided).
