The Elizabeth School of London is seeking a Wellbeing Officer to join our London campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our students throughout their academic journey.
As our Wellbeing Officer, your duties will include:
- Conducting well-being meetings with the students in order to discuss their problems.
- Analysing and identifying wellbeing cases and sharing a report with the Wellbeing Manager.
- Providing guidance, advice, and information related to student wellbeing and pastoral care.
- Offering support to students who are experiencing emotional or practical difficulties that are affecting their learning.
- Managing a caseload of student well-being matters, reviewing support needs and logging student outcomes.
- Communicating with tutors and other central services.
- Helping the Wellbeing Manager to deliver workshops, webinars and awareness-raising events.
- Collaborating and communicating with other teams to establish, maintain, and develop productive relationships with colleagues across the University.
- Planning and organising own workload.
- Contributing to longer-term plans/programmes.
We are looking for people who have:
Essential:- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology/ Education or related subjects.
- A willingness to train in Mental Health First Aid.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Works collaboratively with others.
- Identifies and implements continuous improvement.
- Sensitivity and empathy with students, colleagues and staff.
- Able to deal with confidential matters and act with discretion.
- Master’s in psychology or Mental Health qualification.
- Experience in producing and managing timetables in an educational context.
- Strong IT skills.
- Evidence of working with a diversity of students.
- Experience in risk assessments and crisis management.
