Are you a commercially driven engineer with a passion for sales? Our client is looking for a Sales Engineer to drive growth, win new business and nurture existing client relationships. If you have a mechanical or electrical engineering background and enjoy the full sales lifecycle this could be the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Identify, research and pursue new business opportunities across key sectors.
- Qualify prospects, lead sales meetings, deliver presentations and close deals.
- Manage projects from initial enquiry through to contract completion and handover.
- Act as the main contact for a portfolio of clients building strong long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and pricing solutions.
- Use CRM systems to track leads, opportunities and sales activity.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in B2B sales business development or strategic account management.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to sell value-based solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident presenting to clients.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing multiple projects and seeing them through from enquiry to completion.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or strong engineering background.
Desirable
- Experience in capital equipment sales or industrial/technical markets.
- Familiarity with consultative selling techniques.
- Experience preparing commercial proposals, quotations and contracts.
