Job Purpose
This role is focused on managing existing customer accounts and driving sales through inbound enquiries. You will handle a shared inbox, preparing accurate and timely quotations while ensuring a high level of customer service. You will build strong relationships with established clients, using your industry knowledge to understand requirements, provide the right solutions and identify opportunities to upsell where appropriate. This is a hands-on role that relies on product knowledge, organisation, and a proactive approach, with the autonomy to manage your own workload in a relaxed, no-nonsense environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
- Handle incoming enquiries via email/inbox
- Provide timely and accurate quotations
- Build strong relationships with clients across various sectors
- Identify opportunities to upsell products and solutions where relevant
- Provide technical guidance and product support (where required)
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing and availability
- Maintain a high level of customer service and response times
- Keep CRM/records updated with customer activity
Key skills
- Proven experience within the valve/flow control/industrial supply industry (essential)
- Strong product knowledge of valves, actuators or similar mechanical equipment
- Experience in a quotation led or internal sales/account management role
- Confident managing multiple enquiries and prioritising workload
