We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Part-Qualified Accounts Assistant to join their established and growing finance team based in Swadlincote. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career within a supportive and forward thinking organisation.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring financial information is processed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Preparing and posting journals
- Supporting with VAT returns
- Credit control and chasing outstanding payments
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with audits where required
About You
- Part-qualified in AAT, ACCA or CIMA (or actively studying)
- Previous experience in a similar accounts role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
