Responsibilities:
- 3D Modelling & Design: Create accurate 3D CAD models and technical production drawings from customer prototypes, concepts, or legacy specifications.
- Laser Programming: Produce precise 2D/3D laser programs for various metals, ensuring maximum material efficiency.
- Project Handover: Issue clear work instructions and job cards to the workshop floor, following projects through to final inspection.
- Material Coordination: Conduct simple stock spot-checks to ensure required sheet metal and tooling are ready for upcoming builds.
What We're Looking For:
- 3D CAD Experience: Proven hands-on experience using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, or similar 3D packages (3+ years preferred, time-served welcomed).
- Experience working with laser cutting is an advantage.
- Practical Mindset: Workshop or production environment awareness: You understand how a drawing translates into real physical fabrication!
- Eagerness to Learn: Full training on specialized software will be provided if you don't already have laser experience.
