Due to continued growth, my client is looking for a buyer to join the team at their state of the art facility in Rugby. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leading manufacturing company who prioritise continuous professional development.

This is a strategic role where you will drive the purchasing and procurement functions, playing a vital role in supply chain processes, standards and projects. The successful candidate is expected to identify, engage and negotiate with suppliers, drive the savings objectives and deal with risk mitigation. This includes short to long-term strategic supply chain planning.

This position would suit a motivated individual that has a passion for supply chain and is looking for a company that will support them to achieve their career goals. You will be working for a company specialising in the design and manufacture of special purpose machinery, supplying to a range of loyal clients across the globe.

The Role:

  • Planning deliveries to meet production demands.
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationship with suppliers.
  • Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices.

The Candidate:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience in the use of an ERP/MRP system is essential for this role.
  • Strong planning skills and project management expertise.
  • Procurement/Supply Chain experience within manufacturing.
  • A commutable distance to Rugby.
