Are you an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Technician looking for a varied role within a specialist industrial environment?

Our client is looking for an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join their maintenance team, supporting the safe and efficient operation of production and gas plant facilities.

You’ll be responsible for routine and non-routine maintenance, servicing instrumentation and control equipment, responding to breakdowns, supporting new installations and working alongside specialist engineers and contractors.

The Role

  • Carrying out routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs
  • Servicing process control instrumentation including transmitters, controllers and analysers
  • Maintaining site services and equipment to a safe working standard
  • Responding to out-of-hours plant breakdowns where required
  • Carrying out equipment isolations to permit requirements
  • Supporting installation and commissioning of new plant
  • Working with specialist engineers and contractors
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety

The Candidate

  • 4-5 years' relevant maintenance experience
  • Instrumentation qualification - Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3
  • Good working knowledge of electrical systems
  • Understanding of the oil & gas industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to plan and prioritise effectively
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work under pressure
  • IT literate and confident communicating with colleagues and contractors
