Are you an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Technician looking for a varied role within a specialist industrial environment?
Our client is looking for an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join their maintenance team, supporting the safe and efficient operation of production and gas plant facilities.
You’ll be responsible for routine and non-routine maintenance, servicing instrumentation and control equipment, responding to breakdowns, supporting new installations and working alongside specialist engineers and contractors.
The Role
- Carrying out routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs
- Servicing process control instrumentation including transmitters, controllers and analysers
- Maintaining site services and equipment to a safe working standard
- Responding to out-of-hours plant breakdowns where required
- Carrying out equipment isolations to permit requirements
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new plant
- Working with specialist engineers and contractors
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety
The Candidate
- 4-5 years' relevant maintenance experience
- Instrumentation qualification - Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3
- Good working knowledge of electrical systems
- Understanding of the oil & gas industry
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to plan and prioritise effectively
- Reliable, proactive and able to work under pressure
- IT literate and confident communicating with colleagues and contractors
