Are you a practical Engineer with strong mechanical, electrical, and CAD skills looking for a varied hands-on project role in manufacturing? Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to plan, manage, and deliver engineering projects that boost manufacturing capability, machinery reliability, quality, and safety on site. You'll suit this role if you're a proactive problem solver with experience managing site contractors, implementing machinery modifications, and taking projects from concept through to commissioning.

The Role:

  • Leading engineering projects from initial concept through to installation and commissioning
  • Developing technical specifications and CAD drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Managing site contractors, reviewing RAMS, issuing permits, and ensuring safe working practices
  • Supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for new equipment
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives (FMEA, RCA) to increase machine uptime and reduce waste
  • Collaborating with NPI/Development teams to support new product tooling, machinery, and trial builds
  • Managing procurement, equipment suppliers, project budgets, and milestone schedules
  • Ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001 and site safety/regulatory standards

The Candidate:

  • HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Proven track record delivering engineering projects and machinery modifications within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in producing and interpreting technical drawings using CAD software
  • Experience managing external contractors, site permits, and capital equipment suppliers
  • Strong background in Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and continuous improvement practices
