Are you a Quality Engineer who thrives in complex, regulated environments? Do you enjoy owning NPI, APQP and "right-first-time" delivery from concept through to production? This is a great opportunity to join a highly technical engineering business supplying critical products into safety-led, high-integrity industries. You will play a key role in ensuring new and existing products meet the highest quality, compliance and traceability standards, while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and customers.
The Role:
- You’ll be the quality lead within project teams, supporting New Product Introduction and driving robust quality planning from day one.
- The focus is on prevention, not firefighting, ensuring products are compliant, traceable and delivered right first time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading APQP and NPI activities from feasibility through to volume production
- Owning PPAP submissions and ensuring manufacturing readiness
- Managing non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Leading internal, external and supplier audits, including special processes
- Ensuring full traceability, lifetime records and material certification
- Supporting process validation, control plans and capability studies
- Acting as a key interface between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and customers
What They’re Looking For:
- Quality Engineer within a regulated or high-integrity manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and Root Cause Analysis
- Experience supporting NPI and transition from prototype to production
- Confident dealing with audits, suppliers and customers
- Able to read engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes
- Background in nuclear, defence, aerospace, pressure equipment or similar environments is highly desirable
