Do you have mechanical and electrical projects related experience within an M&E, civils or ex-forces environment? Are you looking for an exciting new role within a leading engineering company who are offering first-class training and development opportunities, in a varied and exciting hybrid role?

Due to continued growth, my client is looking for a proposals engineer to join the business, working out of their state-of-the-art facility in Portland. The successful candidate will work closely with clients across construction, industrial, and M&E sectors to provide fit-for-purpose and cost-effective technical solutions.

You will liaise with customers to understand project requirements, produce complex technical bids and proposals, scopes of work and communicate across multiple departments internally to assist in the completion of high-level, bespoke projects for customers within defence, M&E, manufacturing, construction and more.

You will be working for an expanding, global business who have been at the forefront of their industry for over 20 years, supporting high-level, prestigious customers across a wide range of industries. This is a great opportunity to secure a varied role, where you will deliver complex bids and technical project solutions for an excellent company offering training development opportunities on exciting, global projects.

Please Note: all candidates must be able to pass security clearance checks. Occasional, expensed travel will be required to visit customer sites.

The Role:

  • Create BOMs and manage bids for Bespoke Projects
  • Hybrid role - 2-3 days in the office per week
  • Training and progression available

The Candidate:

  • Mechanical and Electrical experience within forces, M&E or civils
  • Able to pass security clearance
  • Design Knowledge desirable but not essential
  • A commutable distance to Portland, Dorset
