Derbyshire (Commutable from Derby, Stoke, Uttoxeter) £32,500 - £35,000 + Overtime (at 1.5 2x pay) + Training + Progression

Do you have machining experience, either manual or setting/operating? Do you want to gain access to first class training and development, have regular overtime as and when you want at increased rates within a leading manufacturing organisation? Due to continued growth, my client is looking for a Machinist to join the team at their state of the art facility.

The successful applicant will gain access to a first class development plan to enable them to become a skilled Toolmaker and a valuable member of the team. Once trained, you will be operating Mills and Lathes to produce tooling for their manufacturing operation. Despite this being a large site employing a lot of people, you will be part of a specialist team of 5. You will have the opportunity to increase your earnings through regular overtime and have a good degree of flexibility with a relaxed environment.

The company are a very successful manufacturer who are at the forefront of their sector and are continuing to expand in every department. You will be joining a growing, loyal and experienced engineering and manufacturing team within a company who pride themselves on staff retention and development. You will be replacing someone who has left after working for the company for over 2 decades.

The Role:

  • Producing Tooling
  • Liaising with multiple teams to improve processes and designs
  • Creating designs and specifications to enable the team to manufacture required equipment, meeting industry and company standards.

  • Keen to develop their skills and progress
  • Machinist or Setting experience
