Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar with a background in packaging machinery looking for an autonomous role working on bespoke projects from concept to delivery? On offer is the opportunity to join a market leading manufacturer of packaging machinery for a range of large clients on a variety of exciting projects. Due to continued success the company is growing and looking for a new Mechanical Design Engineer to join their existing team.

In this role you will be solely responsible for your own projects, working from customer requests to identify features and then using SolidWorks to design the finished product. You will also be creating BOMs, carrying out FEAs and consulting on the construction of any designs.

The Role

  • Working autonomously on projects
  • Identifying requirements from customer specifications
  • Designing machinery and parts in SolidWorks
  • Identifying materials and creating BOMs
  • Writing documentation for use and maintenance
