Elivate Inclusive are supporting a well-established M&E contractor with the appointment of an Electrical Contracts Engineer to join their project delivery team. The business delivers mechanical and electrical installation projects across the UK, predominantly within large-scale multi-occupancy developments including student accommodation, hotels, and residential schemes. This position will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing electrical and M&E packages across projects ranging from approximately £1m–£10m in value. Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating designs with consultants, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers
  • Managing technical submissions and project documentation
  • Overseeing labour, subcontractors, and specialist trades on site
  • Monitoring programme performance, project delivery, and budgets
  • Supporting procurement and supplier management activities
  • Managing health & safety documentation and site standards
  • Carrying out quality inspections and regular site audits
  • Attending client and progress meetings
  • Managing variations alongside commercial teams
  • Supporting project handover documentation including O&M manuals and as-fitted information

What They’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience within an Electrical Contracts Engineer, Project Engineer, or Contracts Management role
  • Strong understanding of electrical building services and site delivery
  • Experience working on commercial or multi-occupancy projects preferred
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and ability to manage project priorities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel to projects across the UK when required
