We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join our team covering the Northampton area. This is a day shift role offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per year, depending on experience.

As a Mobile HGV Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out on-site servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles at customer depots, fleet sites, and roadside locations. A fully equipped company service van will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out mobile servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
  • Attend vehicle breakdowns and roadside call-outs when required.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks in line with DVSA standards.
  • Accurately complete job cards, service sheets, and digital reports.
  • Maintain the company van, tools, and equipment to a high standard.
  • Provide professional customer service while working on-site.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Mobile HGV Engineer.
  • Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
  • Full UK driving licence required (HGV licence beneficial but not essential).
  • Good communication and customer-facing skills.
