About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver with a background in the plant hire industry to join a well-established and growing business based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver who has experience transporting plant machinery and construction equipment. You will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of a wide range of plant hire equipment to customer sites, ensuring high standards of safety, customer service, and compliance are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) HGV in line with all DVSA and road transport regulations.
  • Deliver and collect plant hire equipment, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, and other construction machinery.
  • Load, secure, and unload machinery safely using the correct procedures and equipment.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
  • Complete delivery paperwork and transport documentation accurately.
  • Liaise professionally with customers, site personnel, and the transport team.
  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
