Salary: £40,000.00 - £50,000.00 + Van & FC

Contract Type: Full Time – Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Mobile Forklift Engineer to join a leading engineering team, providing on-site service, maintenance, and repair of forklift trucks and material handling equipment across a regional customer base. This is a field-based role where you will be responsible for visiting customer sites, diagnosing faults, completing repairs, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. You’ll be working independently in the field while also being supported by a wider technical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment at customer sites
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance
  • Respond to breakdowns and complete effective on-site repairs
  • Build strong relationships with customers during site visits
  • Complete accurate service reports and digital job records
  • Manage van stock and ensure required parts are available

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in forklift engineering or material handling equipment maintenance
  • Experience in plant fitting, plant maintenance, or field service engineering
  • Experience in vehicle mechanics, agricultural machinery, or powered access equipment

Essential / Preferred:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical or engineering discipline (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Comfortable using IT systems for job updates and reporting
  • Full UK driving licence
