We have an exciting new vacancy for a Conference and Event Sales Executive to join our team at The Palace Hotel in Buxton. This 186-bedroom hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Buxton town centre, directly opposite Buxton train station. Enjoy easy access to nearby towns and cities like Manchester, making it a convenient choice for commuting.

Your duties will include:

  • Network with clients to promote and sell our conference and event facilities.
  • Managing enquiries via telephone and email promptly and professionally.
  • Assisting in event planning by effectively communicating client requirements to the operational team.
  • Ensuring all administrative tasks are accurate, up to date, and completed thoroughly.
  • Scheduling meetings for our sales managers efficiently.
  • Organising and conducting meetings and show rounds of the hotels facilities, including conference and event spaces, for both new and existing clients.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Proven experience in sales, ideally within the hospitality or events industry.
  • A solid understanding of hotel operations and event management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a keen understanding of sales and business strategy
  • A driven and ambitious mindset, with a strong focus on delivering results.
