We are seeking experienced, self-employed Maths, English and Science Teachers to deliver high-quality, in-person tuition to children and young people across Horsham, wider Sussex, and the Brighton & Hove areas. This role would suit teachers who are deeply knowledgeable, child-centred, and values driven, within a professionally led, supportive agency that prioritises quality, safeguarding, and outcomes over volume.

Elite Tutors Sussex is a SENCO-led tutoring and education consultancy, founded and run by qualified teachers and SENDCos. We work closely with families, schools, and local authorities, supporting students with dyslexia, SEND, SEMH, anxiety, and complex learning profiles. Our approach is professional, evidence-informed, and collaborative.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for experienced, qualified tutors and teachers to deliver in-person, 1:1 sessions in Horsham, Brighton and Hove and the surrounding areas.
- Qualified teachers or degree-level educators (Maths, Science and/or English)
- You’ll have the freedom to adapt your planning and approach, because you know your students best
- You’ll be supported every step of the way by a team who genuinely understands what it means to teach
- Liaise with parents and, where appropriate, schools or other professionals involved in the student’s education
- Record lessons on our system
- Uphold professional boundaries and follow safeguarding procedures/agency policies
You’ll Need:
- QTS and/or degree qualifications
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience (preferred)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A kind, flexible, and professional approach
- Availability for in-person tutoring in and around Horsham and the Brighton and Hove area
