The team at Elite Touch Group are excited to be working with a well-established client who are seeking a Paralegal to join their busy residential leasehold team, based at their Worthing office.
As a Residential Leasehold Paralegal, you will support solicitors and fee-earners in progressing leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages and variations.
The role focuses on efficient file management, accurate document handling, and delivering excellent client service throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- File Opening & Compliance - Prepare client care packs, carry out AML/ID checks, conflict checks and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
- Leasehold Document Retrieval - Request leases, title documents, management packs, service charge accounts, ground rent statements, LPE1 forms and other relevant information.
- Drafting & Case Preparation - Draft contract packs, replies to standard enquiries, completion statements and routine correspondence under supervision.
- Communication & Coordination - Liaise with clients, estate agents, brokers, freeholders, managing agents and other solicitors to progress matters efficiently.
- Pre-Completion Support - Conduct pre-completion searches, organise funds, confirm management company requirements and assist with completion arrangements.
- Post-Completion Work - Submit SDLT returns, lodge Land Registry applications, deal with requisitions and serve notices on freeholders/managing agents.
- General Administration - Maintain accurate file notes, update case management systems, track key dates and support fee-earners with day-to-day tasks.
- Strong understanding of residential conveyancing, ideally with leasehold experience.
- Excellent organisation, accuracy and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Confident communicator with strong client-care skills.
- Competent in case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
