Our client is seeking a Head of Product with a strong background in Salesforce.
Scope of Role: As Head of Product for Back Office Services, you’ll own the strategic vision and execution of all back-office systems, including Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, payment gateways (e.g., Stripe), ERP integrations, and compliance automation. You’ll lead a team of Product Managers to streamline invoicing, billing, tax, and customer onboarding processes, ensuring our marketplace operates with precision at scale. This role demands a rare blend of operational rigor, technical depth, and leadership excellence to turn back-office complexity into competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define the product vision for back-office services, aligning with our pan-European growth and compliance goals. Own the roadmap for:
- Salesforce Financial Services Cloud: Invoicing, billing, and payment reconciliation.
- Payment Ecosystems: Stripe, Adyen, and regional gateways.
- Compliance Automation: GDPR, PSD2, tax reporting, and audit trails.
- ERP Integrations: SAP, Oracle, and legacy system modernisation.
- Finance & Payments: Reducing invoice cycle times, automating cross-border tax/duty calculations.
- Compliance & Risk: Embedding real-time fraud detection, KYC workflows, and audit readiness.
- Customer Operations: Salesforce-driven onboarding, SLA tracking, and dispute resolution.
- Prioritise AI/ML opportunities (e.g., predictive cash flow analytics, AI-driven invoice matching).
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- 10+ years in Product Leadership, with 5+ years focused on back-office/financial systems (B2B SaaS, fintech, or marketplace platforms).
- Expertise in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and payment gateways (Stripe, Adyen).
- Proven track record scaling back-office solutions across multiple markets, with deep knowledge of EU regulations (PSD2, VAT, AML).
- Technical fluency: API integrations, data security (PCI DSS), and AI/ML applications in finance.
- Strong commercial acumen: Experience reducing operational costs or monetising back-office tools.
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in automotive, logistics, or cross-border commerce.
- Certifications: Salesforce Financial Services, Agile/SAFe, or Six Sigma.
- Fluency in German, French, or Spanish.
This role offers a salary of £80-85k negotiable, plus a bonus of up to 30% and a car allowance of up to £10k, along with usual benefits such as healthcare and pension matched to 5%. Hybrid working, 1 to 2 days a week onsite, in either Manchester or Leeds.
