Elite Talent Resourcing have been engaged by a leading provider in the Plumbing industry to source an Infrastructure Architect for their office based in Northampton on a permanent basis. As an Infrastructure Architect you will be responsible for the technical design providing leadership, ownership and accountability for the provision of cost effective and robust technical infrastructure services, including hosting and networks provision.

Main duties and responsibilities for the Infrastructure Architect:

  • Responsible for the detailed design of applications and infrastructure solutions that support delivery and maintenance of business IT systems.
  • Provide third line technical support of application and infrastructure as required.
  • Act as the expert for the design and deployment of IT solutions and provide technical guidance to colleagues.
  • Support the successful delivery of projects.
  • Support the technical delivery of roadmaps, standards, IT strategy, infrastructure and applications strategy.

The ideal Infrastructure Architect:

  • Recognised architecture accreditation such as TOGAF or Zachman framework.
  • Knowledge of solution delivery in a complex environment.
  • Exposure to enterprise technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies.
  • Experience of working to agile methodologies.
  • Previous exposure of providing support for large enterprise wide systems.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels.
  • Superior analytical, evaluative and problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of enterprise application, framework design and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of technology environments including cloud, outsourced and SAAS environments.
