Elite Supply Services are currently recruiting for a compassionate, dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a 9-year-old male pupil at a specialist SEN school in Stoke-on-Trent from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to a young person's education and wellbeing by providing consistent, individualised support throughout the school day.
The Role
Working on a 1:1 basis, you will
- Provide tailored support to enable the pupil to access learning and daily activities.
- Deliver full personal care with dignity, respect and professionalism.
- Support the pupil's social, emotional and physical development.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SEN professionals and external agencies.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and individual care plans at all times.
- Promote a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
Further details regarding the pupil's individual needs are expected from the local authority prior to the start of the placement.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who
- Has previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Is confident and experienced in providing full personal care.
- Is patient, caring and able to build positive relationships.
- Can remain calm and adaptable in a specialist educational setting.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Holds relevant qualifications or training in care, education or SEN support (desirable).
