The main focus of BYMT is on musical theatre. Participants gain instruction in acting, singing, movement, writing, devising, and instrumental playing. Attendees work closely with experienced theatre professionals to create a new musical piece by the end of their camp. For older participants (17-21), there’s also a focus on audition techniques, drama school preparation, and an academic understanding of musical theatre.
Extracurriculars
BYMT offers theatre games, improvisation sessions, lyric writing exercises, choreography and composing activities, among others. Accommodation
