Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Insurance Team Leader or an experienced commercial insurance professional looking to step into a leadership role to join the team based in the Liverpool area. This is a full‑time, permanent post with a salary between £40,000 - £50,000 DOE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of commercial handlers in the office, ensuring workloads are balanced, service standards are met, and the team is motivated and supported. You will oversee the delivery of high‑quality service to Commercial Insurance customers, stepping in on complex or escalated cases where required.
The role core duties include:
- Processing new business, renewals, mid‑term adjustments and responding to general queries, while ensuring all activity meets regulatory, compliance and documentation standards.
- Providing coaching, mentoring and performance feedback.
- Supporting training and development (including apprenticeships).
- Managing holiday requests and return‑to‑work processes.
- Helping drive continuous improvement across systems, workflows and operational processes.
- Maintaining strong relationships with insurers, supporting retention and new business targets, and contributing to wider commercial objectives.
The successful candidate must have:
- Experience in dealing with Commercial Insurance business.
- Cert CII qualification (minimum).
- Excellent administrative skills and background.
- Knowledge of commercial products and the insurance market.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proven track record of retention.
- Passion for customer service and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills.
