We have a unique opportunity for a HSE Manager to join a friendly, supportive team in Suffolk. This full-time, permanent role gives you the chance to champion health and safety, take ownership of all SHE activities on site, and play a central role in shaping the safety culture from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust SHE procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits
  • Investigate incidents and promote a positive safety culture through training and engagement
  • Lead day-to-day SHE activities, make key decisions, and influence operational practices
  • Build and lead your own team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with statutory and company SHE requirements
  • Provide guidance across the site on SHE matters

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental role
  • Level 6 NEBOSH qualification (mandatory)
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g. IOSH) – mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of SHE systems and Microsoft Office
  • Clear communicator, confident engaging with all levels of staff
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to make decisions independently
  • Experience driving safety culture improvements
  • Flexible and adaptable, ready to roll up your sleeves

Desirable

  • Previous experience as a SHE Manager
  • Experience with cloud-based SHE systems
  • Knowledge of the transport or industrial sector
