Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Insurance Team Leader or an experienced commercial insurance professional looking to step into a leadership role to join the team based in the Liverpool area. This is a full‑time, permanent post with a salary between £40,000 - £50,000 DOE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of commercial handlers in the office, ensuring workloads are balanced, service standards are met, and the team is motivated and supported. You will oversee the delivery of high‑quality service to Commercial Insurance customers, stepping in on complex or escalated cases where required.
The role core duties include processing new business, renewals, mid‑term adjustments and responding to general queries, while ensuring all activity meets regulatory, compliance and documentation standards. Alongside day‑to‑day technical work, you will provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback, support training and development (including apprenticeships), manage holiday requests and return‑to‑work processes, and help drive continuous improvement across systems, workflows and operational processes. Maintaining strong relationships with insurers, supporting retention and new business targets, and contributing to wider commercial objectives are also key parts of the role.
The successful candidate must have:
- Experience in dealing with Commercial Insurance business
- Cert CII qualification (minimum)
