Civil Engineer

WCI have 3 main areas of business they offer to customers and work within the commercial and public sectors. They are looking for a Civil Engineer to join their growing team based in Wiveliscombe. The purpose of the role is to develop solutions for the management of a wide range of sewage, surface water, trade effluent requirements at domestic, commercial and municipal scale across all stages of development. This is a full time permanent position with a salary around £50,000 depending on background and experience. The working hours are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday with no evening or weekends. The role: * Act as a client lead and technical lead and provide coaching and mentoring to more junior members of staff * Define project briefs from client information and site walk overs * Prepare feasibility studies, outline designs, detailed designs and construction support for foul drainage including pumped and gravity networks * Prepare scale drawings, schematic reports, technical notes and complete designer risk assessments * Coordinate and deliver regulatory approvals including environmental permits, planning permissions etc * Use MicroDrainage for network design, sizing and specification of water quantity and water quality featu…
