A well‑established independent insurance broker on the outskirts of Blackburn is expanding and now looking to welcome two new Commercial Account Handlers into their close‑knit team. This is a small, sociable brokerage where personality genuinely matters. The environment is collaborative, supportive and fun — they work hard, celebrate success and offer real progression for the right people. You’ll work closely with the Director, gaining autonomy, visibility and hands‑on development rarely found in larger firms. Both roles are Monday to Friday, office‑based. Parking is available, and there are strong public transport links for those who don’t drive.
The Opportunities
- Trainee Commercial Account Handler: For someone with existing commercial insurance experience who is ready to step up, grow and be coached into a full Account Handler role.
- Experienced Commercial Account Handler: For someone confident managing a commercial portfolio, ideally with mid‑corporate exposure, who can hit the ground running and take on more autonomy from day one.
Key Responsibilities (for both roles)
- Handling renewals, MTAs and new business
- Negotiating terms with insurers
- Managing and developing client relationships
- Ensuring compliant, accurate documentation
- Supporting on claims where required
