About The Role

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for detailed design engineering on a range of energy and heat network projects across London. You'll work closely with the engineering and construction teams to ensure optimal design, procurement, and commissioning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed mechanical design and analysis for heat network projects.
  • Engage with suppliers and contractors through all project stages — from design to commissioning.
  • Produce technical reports and review project performance.
  • Attend site in London periodically during the construction phase.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi‐disciplinary team and report to the Engineering Manager.

Experience And Qualifications

  • Level 8 / Honours Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, ideally within the energy or building services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of LTHW systems and heat pump technology.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks is advantageous.
  • Flexible, motivated, and eager to work on innovative engineering solutions.
