We are recruiting for an Electromechanical Field Service Engineer to join a growing service team, supporting customers across the UK and internationally. This role will be working on specialist breathing, air quality, and filter testing equipment. Please be aware, this role requires over 40/50% travel outside of the office, including UK, Europe, and possibly the Middle East and Africa. Please only apply if you are happy with this.
As an Electromechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, calibrating, installing, and supporting high-quality air quality testing and measurement instrumentation at customer facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation, servicing, and commissioning of breathing and air quality equipment at customer sites
- Diagnostics and fault-finding on electromechanical systems used for breathing and air filtration
- Filter testing, including performance validation and compliance testing
- Calibration and maintenance of aerosol generators, air filters, and associated test equipment
- Workshop-based repair, testing, and refurbishment of equipment
- Supporting investigations into breathing and airflow performance issues
- Producing service reports, test documentation, and calibration records
- Providing technical support and guidance to customers when required
- Occasional European travel (approximately once per month, up to 3 days per trip)
- Proven experience as an Electromechanical Engineer, Installation Engineer, or similar role
- Background in filter testing equipment (highly desirable)
- Alternatively, experience within medical devices, particularly breathing, respiratory, or air quality systems
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience calibrating test equipment, ideally aerosol generators or airflow measurement devices
- Comfortable working independently in the field and collaboratively in a workshop environment
- Good technical documentation and reporting skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Degree in mechanical or electronic engineering
- Experience with calibration or test instrumentation
- Knowledge of quality systems or regulated environments
- Experience with air filtration standards or compliance testing
- Knowledge of breathing difficulty diagnostics or airflow performance analysis
