Our client is an established international business going through an exciting period of growth. As part of this growth, they are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their leadership team.
As Financial Controller you will provide executive leadership over the organisation’s financial strategy, governance, and long-term value creation. The role is accountable for shaping financial direction, safeguarding the company’s financial integrity, and acting as a trusted strategic partner to the Board and senior leadership team to enable sustainable growth and scalability.
This role goes beyond operational finance management and is accountable for financial leadership at an enterprise level, shaping strategic outcomes, protecting shareholder value, and enabling confident, data‑led decisions across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Define and own the company’s financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives
- Translate business strategy into multi-year financial plans
- Act as a key advisor to the CEO and Board on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
- Build and lead a high‑performing finance function with clear accountability and succession planning
- Establish and maintain robust financial governance, policies, and control frameworks
- Oversee compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accounting standards
- Oversee enterprise‑wide budgeting, forecasting, and performance review processes
- Challenge assumptions, highlight variances, and drive corrective action
- Ensure management reporting provides insight, not just data, to support executive decision‑making
- Own the enterprise financial risk framework, including market, credit, and operational risks
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager.
- Excellent understanding of management accounting, financial controls, and cashflow management.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse operational performance.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems skills.
- Analytical, detail‑focused, and highly organised.
- Strong communicator able to work with both finance and operational teams.
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
