We are delighted to be working in partnership with a new, forward-thinking children's care provider to recruit an experienced and passionate Registered Manager for their brand-new solo children's home in Featherstone, West Yorkshire. This home will support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is the organisation's first residential children's service, but they bring a proven track record of success from the early years sector, having established and operated several high-quality nurseries. With the backing of a highly experienced Responsible Individual (RI) and a clear vision to provide exceptional care for vulnerable children, they are looking for a Registered Manager who shares their ambition and values.
About the Role:
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the opening, registration, and day-to-day running of the solo home. You'll play a vital role in shaping the service from the ground up—creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where the child in your care can thrive. This is a unique opportunity to help build something truly special from the very beginning, with full support from an experienced RI and a company committed to quality, compassion, and long-term growth.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager in children's residential care, or as a Deputy ready to step up
- A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and compliance
- Experience supporting children with SEMH and EBD needs
- Confident, child-centred leadership style with the ability to inspire and guide a new team
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and making a difference
What's on Offer:
- Salary of circa £55,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
- Profit share opportunity as the service develops
- Full support from an experienced Responsible Individual and senior leadership
- The chance to lead a brand-new service from day one
- Genuine career progression as the company plans to open additional homes in the future
This is a rare opportunity to get in at the start of an exciting journey with an organisation that is serious about delivering exceptional care—and equally serious about recognising and rewarding the people who help make it happen.
